Gas Natural headquarters (via Alberto OG)
italian architect david fischer designed the dynamic tower skyscraper so that each of its 80 floors would rotate according to voice command. fischer wanted to design a space where you could enjoy the sunrise & sunset from the same room. the rotation takes up to 3 hours & is powered by solar panels and 79 wind turbines, with one turbine located between each floor. almost the entire structure will be pre-fabricated offsite. construction is due to be completed by the end of 2010. // weburbanist

Today’s archidose #322: Jean Gang’s Wave
My first reaction to the renderings of this project was of being unimpressed. But seeing it physically built, it’s much more interesting than I thought. The way floor slabs occlude windows when viewed from the ground is a natural architectural phenomonon, and this is an elegant play on it.
honestly. I wasn’t totally blown away. this is a beautiful structure but why?
